Day 8 of 30 Day Challenge

This week has been very busy for me, but not too busy where I couldn't work out. I did workout this past  Thursday and Friday, just didn't have time to blog.

Cardio sessions and weight lifting is working well for me. I have so much energy and life after I workout. Did you know that crosstraining is one of the most important things you can do to see rapid changes in your body?

I've also added green tea to my daily diet. I have about 3 to 4 cups of green tea a day. This has definitly replaced my soda intake. Did you know that 3 cups of green tea a day helps burn 80 calories per day, whereas 3 cups of coffee with cream can pack on an extra 210 calories per day? Glad I'm not a coffee drinker.

I really enjoy working out, and well I hope my blog motivates you to get to moving. Love & Blessins!!!

Day 5 of 30 Day Challenge

Omg... there is two many ways to do push ups. Today I did military push ups, staggard push ups, wide arm push up, one arm push up, declined push ups, and diamond push ups.

The aftermath... arms hurt. But it's cool, I can handle it. What my is going through, is well worth it.

Day 4 of 30 Day Challenge

181.0 lbs... well how about that! Yes dropping a pound in a few days is great. I have so much energy after my workouts, and I feel like I can do anything.

Today I had a 40 min cardio session, and a 30 min weight lifting session. My biceps, triceps, quads and glutes are aching. Tomorrow I will do P90X Cardio, and Core Synergystics. Wish me luck. Pure torture, but worth it. Luv & Blessins!!!

Day 3 of 30 Day Challenge

My oh my... I am very sore this evening. My arms feel like noodles, my legs hurt  I mean my whole entire body is aching.

My workout today consisted of burpees, crunches, leg lifts, bicep curls, skull crushers, mountain climbers, push ups, squats, squat jumps, rows, and lunges. Hope I didn't forget anything.

I know in the long run that me being in so much pain will be well worth the end result.

I am also going to read up on clean eating. Right now I am just working on portion control. So any info that I get  I will pass it on to you. Love & Blessings!!!

My 30 Day Challenge

I  haven't worked out in weeks (until today), and gained so much weight. Current weight 182.3 lbs. So I started a 30 day challenge for myself starting today. My goal is to lose 15lbs by Nov. 5.

Day 1 182.3 lbs
I hung in there, and completed 40 mins of cardio. My babe said he got turned on by me doing burpees, cause there was once a time when I couldn't even do 1.

I took a multivitamin and Fish Oil. I do not want to go back to taking Lipo 6 (fat burner). It was a great product  and it worked well for me, but I want to do this the old fashion way. Using my workout dvds, and home exercise equipment.

I am going to try to get in 30 mins of weight training this evening. So stay tunes for my next post.

It Ain't Easy

Who said working out and staying on track is easy? Well it's not. I have a bad left knee, but I try not to let it stop me from working out. If need be, I modify my workout.

When it comes to dieting, I don't diet. Here's why. I love to eat, so I portion control, and this seems to work wonders for me. The only real thing that I cut off was Coke and Red Bull.

Cutting those two off wasn't easy. I would take down 4 Red Bulls, and 3 Cokes with easy. I realized that the Red Bull was causing me to bloat, and the Coke was causing my acne. So I fired them both and brought in Green Tea, and water. What a difference that has made for me.

So people don't give up, and don't give in. Get at least 30 min of cardio in, and as far as dieting, do what works for you. Luv & Blessins!!!

Working Out Does Work

Alot of people I know say they don' t have time to workout. I say they are crazy. You have to make time in order to br successful in anything that you do.

You don't have to be a whole hour. There are plenty of workouts you can do in 30-45 minutes. Shit they even have 10min workouts. There's walking, dancing, hiking, biking. Do anything thats gonna make you sweat. Have sex, that will help you burn calories. Just put in the effort. Start small if you have too, but just start.

Trim Your Waist In 14 Days

Here are 5 five moves that will help you widdle that middle.
1. Obliques bench crunch
2  Reverse crunch
3. Side plank with overhead raise
4. Single legged plank
5. Weighted windmill

Obliques bench crunch targets                     internal and external obliques, and rectus abdominis. If u don't have a bench, an ottoman or stability ball will do just fine.

Reverse crunch targets transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis. Reverse crunches help prevent upper back rounding and also strengthen the lower back to counteract long sessions of sitting.

Side plank overhead raise targets rectus abdominis  and internal and external obliques. Beginners should keep your bottom hip on the floor and perform without weights. Lift your hips when you get stronger.

Single legged plank targets transverse abdominis, erector spinae, and gluteus maximus. If you are starting out, try staying on your knees.

Weighted windmill targets internal and external obliques. If your flexibility doesnt allow you to reach far, aim for your calf. As you complete each rep, initiate the action with your torso, rather than pulling with your top arm.

Though these moves will tighten your tummy, a clean diet and regular cardio are needed to get the job done.  Luv & Blessins!!!

179.2lbs And Counting Down

Did you see the picture of my weight? Omg, I'm so excited. My clothes are not extra tight, and I'm feeling good.  If I keep this up, I can probably reach my goal of 145lbs by christmas.

I'm slowly weaning off the soda. I know I can do it, cause I gave up drinking Red Bull for 6 months now. I would have so much energy from drinking it, and I would crash about an hour later. I also realized it was making me bloated. So I replaced the Red Bull with mango juice, green tea, and cranberry juice, and water.

If I can drop this weight, I know you can too. So keep it up. Luv & Blessins!!!

Oh Me, Oh My

I have gained a pound, but thats ok. I know working out aint easy. When I get stressed, I like to turn to caffeine. I know it's wrong of me, and I will not make excuses.

So today I will have 2 cardio sessions. I will do Jillian Michaels this morning, and tonight I will do Dance Central on Xbox Kinect. No soda for me today. Well, I know I need to cut the soda out period. I love cranberry juice, and I'll only drink water if it's ice cold. I have my gallon of water ready. This is what I'll be drinking on all day to aide in the shedding of this one pound. So wish me luck, and we will see what tomorrow brings. Luv & Blessins

Muscle Building Foods

Working out is not easy, and neither is dieting. So I don't diet. I simply control my portions, and I incorporated some clean eating habits.

Here are a few items that I've grown to like. Salmon is a great source of energy boosting creatine. This fatty fish is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which may increase strenght, and slow down loss of muscle mass. Lean beef is packed with muscle building protein, they also contain micro-nitrients that are essential to building muscle. Drinking milk after working out, builds lean muscle mass faster than a soy protein drink. These are just a few. Try yogurt, green tea, broccoli, spinach, oats, and turkey.

Feeling Much Better

Exercising early in the morning is key to starting my busy day off right. I have more energy, I'm relaxed, and my day just tends to go by smoothly. My current weight is 181lbs. My focus is now my abs. So my program is now weight training 3 days a week, and double cardio sessions 5 days a week. When I say double cardio, I do one session in the morning, and another one in the evening. I've cut nack on my portions, and drinking more water. My next step is clean eating. When I do cardio, I switch up. I do P90X cardio, Kenpo, and Plyo. I also do the Biggest Loser dvd. I get my kids envolved by doing Dance Central, or Michael Jackson Experience on the Kinect. Switchimg up my workout keeps me from getting bored. I have free weights at home. I really enjoy working out at home.

Slim Without The Gym

I don't know why, but I prefer to workout at home. I have P90X, and Biggest Loser dvds, and I have a schedule that I have made so that I won't get bored, and that my body won't hit a plateau. I want to lose 20 lbs, and I don't want to pay a gym membership, because it's not in my budget.

My home gym consists of dumb bells, pull up bar, dvds, and a jump rope. So see there is no excuse for me not working out. I rather workout early in the morning before I get my day started. Today it didn't work that way cause I was dealing with getting my kids in order and out the door for school. So now that they are gone, and I'm off work today, I will workout for 45 mins, shower, and run my errands.

Todays workout will be Plyos from P90X, 75 sit ups, and 25 push ups, bicep curls, dead lifts, shoulder press, and squats. I really want to get back into running. When I was in high school, I ran track and cross country. I really enjoyed it. May be I should set a goal to do a small marathon....hmm. We'll see about that.  Stay tuned.

Slowly progressing.

So this evening I weighed myself and I'm 190.7, which is good, considering that I was 194 a couple of days ago.I really would like to challenge myself. I want to do a 90 day mind, body, and soul transformation.

I'm not happy with myself at the moment. I will be 35 years old this Sept, and I really need to get it together. I did the big chop on my hair 8 months ago, and that was me learning to love my hair, and stop hiding myself behind my hair. So now it is time for me to love my body, and to become more confident in myself. I need to believe in myself, and think positive thoughts. I know God is blessing me, and he wouldn't give me anything that I can't handle. So stay tune  as journey to discover a new me. My likes, dislikes, wants, needs, and desire. I will be happy again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stressed and Depressed

Here I am 194lbs....eating like crazy!!! Why? On the verge of losing my home, and scrambling to find a new one. I gotta get out of this stooper. I'm not so fly now, dealing with my personal problems. But I have to stay positive, and focus on getting it together.

Its not gonna be easy.... Lord knows it's not. I will start going to sleep early, workout at 4a.m., and than my mood will be better through out the day, and I can focus on getting a new place. Believe in myself even if no one else does. I will get through this.

I'm Back

Hello world! I've been away from blogging for some months, but I'm back. I stopped working out, and was pigging out. Well no more of that maddness. So going from 236lbs to 194 is not bad at all. My new goal is to get to 165lbs.

My plan to achieve this goal is 3 days of cardio, and 2 days of strength training. My diet plan is to eat more protein, no sodas, and to control my portions. I think 90 days is enough time to get rid of 29lbs. Stay tuned!
